What We Pledged! - Redwood City Cool CampaignWhen community members joined the Redwood City Cool Campaign they pledged to do the following.

  • Sign on to the Campaign
  • Get three more people involved
  • Use fabric shopping bags
  • Plant a tree
  • Change my light bulbs to more energy efficient CFLs
  • Engage a neighbor
  • Get 2nd floor occupants to use the dual switch (turn off ½ lighting power)
  • I am going to encourage more kids in the community to recycle at school and at the Boys and Girls Club
  • I pledge to join the campaign, install (2) more CFLs and give one to a friend. Not buy bottled water any more!
  • I will do at least 1 cool challenge every month
  • Change to a low-flow shower head
  • Energy audit and follow-up
  • Get a clothesline and use in warm weather
  • I pledge to support a monthly meeting for those who want to do outreach
  • I pledge to take at least one of the monthly recommended actions in this campaign
  • I will join the RWC Cool Campaign and participate in at least one action each month.
  • I will try to engage my local grammar school
  • I promise to recycle and take care of my environment by saving energy and saving heat
  • Limit TV time
  • Keep heat down to 66
  • Plant a vegetable garden
  • Give up aluminum cans
  • I will organize an energy audit on of the condo building that I live in and am on the HOA board.
  • Request newsletter via email
  • Talk to my pastor to talk to the congregation about the campaign.
  • I pledge to provide resources to support the campaign
  • Use my car less, Use my bike more
  • Recycle
  • Buy locally grown produce more often
  • Investigate/act re. junk mail
  • I pledge to turn off my computer at night
  • I will keep my lights off if I am not in the room
  • I am going to unplug my TV when it’s not on
  • Meet 2 objectives at home. Teach all of my objectives to my children
  • I will be conscious of water use when washing dishes and brushing my teeth. How much water could I conserve just by paying attention
